Our Operation


Ashley & Cooper Coffee Roasters, Inc. is a privately-owned, artisanal coffee micro-roaster headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia.  We cup new coffees constantly, and seek the best lots of specialty gourmet coffee available.  We always strive to bring to you fair-trade, organically-grown, and bird-friendly coffees.

At Ashley & Cooper Coffee Roasters, we use a Diedrich IR-12, which has a 12 kg or 30 lb maximum capacity (see photo at left of coffee cooling post-roast).  During roasting, there is a distinctive aroma released that pervades our facility...that of roasted chocolate, with a slightly sweet perfume.  Our roastmasters have between them 20 years experience roasting gourmet beans to their perfect state.  Each bean must be test roasted and cupped to find the perfect level of roasting.  This is because every bean has a different size, moisture content, density, and weight, depending on origin, screen-size, and whether it is a special bean such as the Peaberry, which is a round mutation with a denser bean.

Once roasted perfectly, we hand-pack and seal your beans into oxygen-impermeable bags with a laminated one-way valve which allows for the escape of carbon dioxide while preserving the freshness of the beans.  We ship to you within 24 hours of roasting your coffee, so it always arrives at your door living up to our motto: the finest and freshest coffee in the world.
